We are members of the parish exploring various ways in which to provide activities and services to the teen/youth population. St. KatieТs has retained the services of Cultivation Ministries to help us "grow" our Youth Ministry. Cultivation Ministries is an organization specializing in the development of Youth Ministries with headquarters in St. Charles, IL. The task is well at hand and many new and wonderful opportunities and people have presented themselves. The next step is to listen and learn from members of our community. A series of focus groups will establish a clearer picture of the ideal environment necessary for a successful and enjoyable Youth Ministry. These meetings will be a one time, in-depth discussion of perceptions of both teens and adults concerning opportunities, concerns, and spiritual considerations vital to the success of the Youth Ministry. The plan will be to engage groups of no more than 15 to 20 for 1.5 hours in discussion. We are writing to specifically invite YOU to participate in the parent group discussion. The date is set for August 23 from 7:30 to 9:00pm. It is our sincere hope and intention to engage you in an enlightened discussion regarding your future in the parish.
